Graphics and Communities

A graphic such as a logo, usually conveys a message about the company,  says something about its content. For example AT&T’s logo… take a look at it and tell me why you think it convey’s the feeling of a community just through the design.  The company has gone through many changes in logo, images for their company, but this one finally hit home.

  1. I think that the AT&T logo conveys a feeling of community by using the shape of a globe. I think that the logo is symbolizing how AT&T is an international company that connects everyone in the world.

  2. The reason I chose the AT&T Logo is because I think it is a good logo and example of how graphics can convey feelings that link people in a community. If you notice the logo is using what looks like a globe and they are saying that its an international company, but notice how the lines are thicker in the spot where you would normally see the United States. This says we are interested in making sure we connect you to whom ever you may want to talk to, but the emphasis is on you America. This company reaches out to all those who find this to be the quality they want their providers to have.

  3. I feel that AT&T did a good job with their logo. I can see how this would be considering a sense of community. Ever since Sprint’s convergence with whoever it was, I don’t know if I like that one.
